K&R International Restaurant & Bar: Authentic Caribbean Cuisine & Vibrant Cocktails in Wilmington

1st off I want to say, this place has the kind of food you could smell from outside on the way into the restaurant. The prices was reasonable, the music was great, the food was awesome and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend people to dine in here.

Large portion and tasty Jamaican food! Would recommend: curry chicken, jerk chicken, ox tail, and beef patty. They only had one person working so service was a bit wonky and they were out of a few things so we had to substitute but overall a delicious experience.

The food was chef’s kiss, and the customer service was very friendly and professional. The wait wasn’t long at all. I had the red snapper, jollof rice, and cassava leaves. Everything was hot, fresh and well seasoned. By far the Best African food that I’ve had!!!

My sister & I came to pick up our takeout after consistently ordering door dash. The service is great and the food didn’t take as long as expected. We ordered king fish with hollow rice, jerk chicken, dried rice, and one other dish I forgot the name of. The prices aren’t cheap but nothing is these days. My new favorite menu item is the jerk chicken because it tastes like it’s been cooked on the grill. But I will always love my stewed king fish with extra gravy.

Went here for takeout on a Saturday evening, the food was fresh and tasty. We ordered the jerk and curry chicken meals and ginger beers. Very clean inside with plenty of seating if you wanted to dine in.

10/10 As a culture vulture I’ve had a lot of different meals. I got brown stewed chicken and it smacked! The sweetness in the stew is on point not too sweet sauce is very thick but so very good. The cooking style is unique compared to most in the local area i also bought Curry Chicken this place does not disappoint 10/10 on the curry too not too yellow very interesting. Thank you I will be coming again!

Let me start by saying my husband and I drove from Philadelphia to get something to eat and baby the choice we made was worth the trip and money. I had the king fried fish meal, my husband had Salmon with Cabbage rice and peas!! I finished all of my cabbage before we got on 95 both of our food was phenomenal flavored to perfection. We will be back.

My family and I are on a road trip from NYC to Virginia this long Memorial Day weekend. We stopped by Delaware for lunch and discovered this hidden gem!!! K&R International Restaurant is by far the BEST Jamaican food we have ever had. As a family we ordered: Curry Goat, Curry Chicken, Jerk Chicken, and Pepper Steak. They give you a generous portion of food, especially the meat. Everything was seasoned to perfection and extremely flavorful (however, the curry dishes were on the saltier side). The chicken was incredibly tender and the mac n cheese was rich and creamy. They give you a choice of sides, including: cabbage, mac n cheese, and plantains. Our experience at the restaurant was very nice. We did have to wait ~30 minutes for our food, but once we tried their food- the wait was WORTH IT! Our faces quite literally lit up as soon as we took our first bites. Kevin, our waiter and chef, was also very friendly! Turns out he’s also a fellow New Yorker from the same neighborhood as us, Jamaica, Queens. This was a first for us as a family. We’ve met plenty of New Yorkers while traveling but Kevin is the first to be from Jamaica too. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
